How to join CONGRESS

  • There is a sign up period at the beginning of each academic year;

  • Students must fill out a form where they must collect 25 signatures from students of the same program type as them (Pre-university or Technique);

  • Forms can be found at the SUJAC office (p-101) and must be dropped off at the office along with a copy of their schedule before the deadline.

PLEASE NOTE:

Joining at the beginning of the winter semester is possible if the above steps are completed and if there are open seats on congress.

How to become an EXECUTIVE

  • Towards the end of each academic year, usually in march, elections for each executive position begins;

  • Students will need to collect a form from the SUJAC office (P-101) which will require the signature of 50 students. They must submit their completed form at the SUJAC office before the deadline to become an eligible candidate. Signatures can be obtained over the course of two weeks;

  • Eligible candidates will then appear before congress to give a 3-minute presentation showcasing their qualifications for their contended position of choice. Congress will vote on the two best candidates who will then compete schoolwide;

  • Schoolwide candidates will campaign over the course of two weeks;

  • A 3-day schoolwide vote will take place to elect the new executive members of SUJAC for the next academic year.

  • The terms of the new executives begin in June of that year.
